Weekly Famitsu: Volume 1065 (08/05/09)

Famitsu's cover this week sports the ever-popular Monster Hunter characters gathered round a fire, roasting some sort of enormous chicken leg. Why do these covers always feature RPGs? Is Necky not sick of wearing knight's armour yet?

Yesterday saw the results of the Famitsu Awards 2008 being revealed, with Sega winning an award. In the "Award of Excellence" category, they won "Best Dramatic Game" with 428. The biggest winners overall were Square Enix and Capcom, the latter winning the "Games Company of the Year" award.

The next game to feature in Famitsu's on-going t-shirt project will be MadWorld. No designs have been revealed yet, but I can guess that they will contain lots of black, white and red. Previous Sega games to feature on Famitsu's t-shirts include Yakuza 3 and 428.

In the Enterbrain Chart, Yakuza 3 has dropped out of the Top 30. Taking its place is Valkyria Chronicles, which has recently been re-released through the Japanese equivalent of the Platinum range, entitled "The Best". It enters in at #30, selling 4,321 copies this week.
