Sega Upcoming Releases: June 2009

There are quite a lot of new releases coming this month, although some in the list are Japan-exclusive. I highly doubt you'll want to play Hana Hana anyway - it's a full-price slot machine simulator. Fun!

Infinite Space, which is set for release next week in Japan, received 34/40 from Famitsu. Broken down into 9/9/8/8, the score earned the game a place in the Gold Hall of Fame.

In other news, Make a Pro Baseball Team! 2, which was released last month in Japan on the DS, has debuted at #2 in the Enterbrain Chart. It sold 46,586 copies in its first week.

As with April, there aren't very many confirmed release dates for this month. Hopefully more will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Here are Sega's upcoming releases for March 2009. This month sees the first of Platinum Games' titles coming out, in the form of MadWorld. It is also a good month for RPG fans, with the release of both Phantasy Star Portable and Seventh Dragon.

Sega Upcoming Releases: February 2009

Here are Sega's upcoming releases for February 2009. It looks like it's going to be a good month for retro fans, with both Ultimate Collection and Pole's Big Adventure coming out!

In other news, I started making a Sonic game today. It is based on the Master System version of Sonic 1, but Sonic moves automatically with you controlling jumps and rolls to get past the obstacles. I have got the basic level design for Green Hill Act 1 done, so expect screenshots soon! The game should be released this year, hopefully before September.

Unfortunately, there are no definite January release dates at this moment, so I will just post games expected to be released this month.

I am looking forward to the top two games the most. Finally, I can play Streets of Rage II without paying £12 for the Mega Drive version!

The PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed is the last release, and is arguably the best. However reviews have been giving this and the Xbox 360 version worse reviews than the Wii and PS2 versions, despite them not being the "complete". Weird.

This month sees the release of the eagerly anticipated Sonic Unleashed. Recent screenshots and videos have actually changed my opinion of the game. It may actually be good! Anyway, here are Sega's software releases for November 2008:

I'm really excited to see how Golden Axe turns out. The original game was one of my favourites on the Mega Drive! Unfortunately it has been given a modern "brown" makeover, to make it more realistic and gritty. Sigh.
