Wacky World of Sports announced

First discovered back in December, the Wii game Wacky World of Sports has been announced. The projected release date is late 2009.

Most of our predictions gathered from the title were indeed true - it is a Wii game, and it is a minigame collection. It is not, however, a Tom and Jerry licence.

The game involves travelling around the world, partaking in ridiculous sports such as Tuna Tossing and, my personal favourite, Extreme Ironing.

Wacky World of Sports sounds rather like Alternative World Games by Gremlin Graphics, released in 1987 for various home micros. This game also involved travelling around the world, playing games influenced by national stereotypes.
