Sega to release Sonic screensaver for phones

Sega's Sonic Channel blog has posted information about an upcoming mobile phone application. It looks like some sort of Sonic screensaver, with screenshots depicting the blue hedgehog in Green Hill Zone.

A translation of the page doesn't reveal much information. Here's what I can gather from it:
"Sonic comes from the game screen to the screen of your mobile phone. He reacts when you get a phone or email, and can do many different things.

Sometimes he will just run around the mobile screen, and can get cranky! There is a variety of entertaining things he can do.

Sonic is an interactive screensaver set to the phone's standby display. He does things depending on the time and season.

Price: Free"
Some of my interpretation could be incorrect. It does sound good, however, and it's free! Apparently the Japanese mobile game company AUone made the screensaver.

Japan has many good Sega games for their mobile phones, most being released via the "Sonic Café" service. This was discontinued a few years ago, and none of the games seem to be available for download anywhere. Oh well.

Now all I have to do is move to Japan and buy a mobile phone to get this! Or just hope someone else offers it for download. Probably the latter.
