MTV's Wii Usage Stats: March 2009


Here are this month's Wii usage stats from MTV's Multiplayer blog, outlining how long Americans have been playing particular Wii games.

Overall play denotes how long a single user has played the game on average in a month, and play sessions denotes how many times the game was played on average in a month. Simple.

Here are the Sega games in order of overall play:
  1. Sonic Unleashed - 12 hours, 28 minutes
  2. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games - 10 hours, 53 minutes
  3. Sonic and the Secret Rings - 10 hours, 6 minutes
  4. Ghost Squad - 6 hours, 34 minutes
  5. House of the Dead 2 and 3 - 5 hours, 30 minutes
Here they are in order of play sessions:
  1. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games - 8.19
  2. Sonic and the Secret Rings - 6.91
  3. Sonic Unleashed - 6.07
  4. Ghost Squad - 5.23
  5. House of the Dead 2 and 3 - 4.54
Every game has seen a rise in play this month, with Sonic Unleashed gaining a whopping 64 minutes in play time! Light gun shooters continue to be played in short blasts, and Mario and Sonic seems to be played regularly for short periods of time.
