In a recent Kikizo interview, Yoshi Hashimoto of Sonic Team has revealed that he is "agreeable" to fan comments about the quality of recent Sonic games.
"I think the fans' evaluations are fair. I often read the forums run by Sonic fans on a routine basis. I hardly feel any discomfort from their comments. I often find myself rather agreeable to them."
Then why don't you listen to the comments when actually making the games? Then you might get some ideas on how to turn Sonic games into something the fans want. However, please don't go on the kiddie forums who are desperate for another Shadow game or more characters. Just listen to the ones who want a 2D sidescroller.
