UK Charts: Week Ending 30/05/09

Here is some breaking news: A new Sega game has charted higher than Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games! Yes, Virtua Tennis 2009 has debuted in at #8, nine places higher than Mario and Sonic which has dropped six places from last week to #17.

Sega Superstars Tennis, which reappeared in the charts last week for the first time since December, has risen eight places to #26. Football Manager 2009 is close by at #28, down five places from last week.

Mega Drive Ultimate Collection has almost finished its chart run, dropping eight places to #37. Perhaps it'll do a Football Manager and work its way back up the charts.

I wonder if Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing will become a UK Charts staple when it's released next year? Mario and Sonic's upcoming Vancouver game definitely will, and will probably still be in the charts alongside Beijing when they go to the London Olympics!

More charts next week. See last week's here.
